The Awakening of the Dragon
Barcelona - Andorra - Pyrenees - Toulouse
from Montserrat into the Pyrenees
A dragon is an ancient force, breathing with the Earth itself.
It is not merely a mythical creature, but a symbol of primordial power of the wisdom that exists before words.
It carries within it the memory of the elements: the fire that transforms, the water that nourishes, the air that flows, and the earth that sustains. Its dance is a reminder that everything is in constant motion.
Symbolically, the dragon represents inner alchemy: the ability to move through shadows, access deep courage, and awaken the purpose that sleeps within the body and the soul. It appears both as a teacher and as a mirror, revealing what we need to integrate in order to return to the wholeness of our BEING.
As a guardian, the dragon does not protect with brute force, but with presence. It guards portals of knowledge, subtle pathways between worlds, ancient memories that open only when the heart is ready. It keeps alive the balance between the visible and the invisible, between the human and the elemental. It brings us closer to mystery and, at the same time, invites us to recognise that draconic force that lives within us — a consciousness that is awake, vast, and untamed.
To connect with a dragon is to remember that we are heirs to that same ancient, wise force, and that every step along the path is also a step toward awakening the inner Guardian.
From that place, nine people of different nationalities had arranged to meet in Barcelona to begin an inner journey connected to the Awakening of the Dragon.
The purpose was to follow the energy from Barcelona to Andorra, so that in the crossing of the Pyrenees we might encounter the two-headed dragon said to be asleep in that region. And why?
The mountain range of the Pyrenees corresponds to the throat chakra of Europe. All the work we have been doing with the Awakening of the Guardians in Portugal has led us to travel through various parts of the world, so that information may flow and connect through stories, the meeting of cultures, and so much more.
It was precisely while I was facilitating a retreat in Aosta that the vision of a map emerged, showing this mountainous area suffocating, as if information struggled to pass from one side to the other. Later, another vision appeared — a two-headed dragon, asleep in the region of Andorra. This dormancy was part of a cycle in which human conflicts caused nature to become the guardian of many mysteries. Some guardians turned to stone. Some elementals gave their lives to preserve that information through crystals, trees and lakes.
Thus, our intention — more than “awakening” something specific — was to connect with and feel these sleeping guardians. To recognise their presence, listen to their stories, allow emotions to remind us of resonant aspects and, in that way, clarify our own path.
Along this deeply personal journey, each member of the group had the opportunity to share their magic. Each one was invited to take their place and shine within their own field and lineage of wisdom.
I feel that all of this led to the culmination of a very special activation. Gathered in a circle at a high mountain viewpoint, we opened an energetic vortex together. Each person was called to embody an aspect: grounding, elevating, ordering, opening, moving, holding, neutralising, cleansing and harmonising. In the end, among various visions, emerged the image of multiple energetic channels stretching from that region towards Turkey — and from Turkey to the Atlantic coast of the Iberian Peninsula. For me, that was the great culmination of the journey.
There are many other moments I could share: our connection in Montserrat, the synchronicities in Andorra, the recognition of the Cathars, the cave adventures… but all of it gained its true meaning by being lived together. Because it is that sharing — that lived, embodied spirituality — that makes the experience real.
May more Awakenings come… After all (I don’t know if it will be up to us), but there is still the other half of the dragon left to walk.
